Ingmar Bergman's DREAMS follows Susanne, a photographer, and her model Doris as they journey to Gothenburg for a fashion shoot. While there, Susanne attempts to reconcile with her married lover while Doris endeavours to forget her fiancé by becoming involved with a rich businessman. Themes of love, betrayal, materialism and obsession are all played out using Bergman's distinctive style in this largely underestimated but ultimately beautiful film.
